A Dutch accounting firm that happens to work in English.

Not an international desk with a surcharge, and not a translated interface on top of a Dutch product. The same accountants, the same fixed fee, the same filings — with your side of the conversation in English.

Why we exist

Both of them leave the hardest part with you.

Bookkeeping software

Do it yourself, we give you the tools

But You buy an empty package and a manual, usually only half of it in English. The ledger accounts, the VAT codes and the question of whether it adds up stay yours.

A traditional firm

We do it, but we bill by the hour

But A quarter of an hour on the phone lands on your invoice. That teaches you not to call, and the questions you do not ask are exactly the ones that cost money.

What we made of it

  • 1 The machine does the groundwork Reading receipts, matching bank lines, preparing the return. That is work nobody should be doing by hand.
  • 2 A human signs off Exceptions, judgement calls and anything that leaves the building passes an accountant. Automation does not replace that review.
  • 3 One fixed amount So that calling costs nothing and you never do the arithmetic before asking a question.

A deliberate choice

Why we do not call ourselves an AI accountant.

There is AI in our product. It reads your receipts, recognises your suppliers and prepares your return. We do not hide that and we do not lead with it. That is a choice, and this is why.

17% of Dutch companies use AI at all. Among companies with two to ten people it is 14%. CBS (in Dutch)
But accountants are using AI more and more, while treating it as a tool that has to be checked rather than a replacement for their judgement. Accountant.nl (in Dutch)

"AI does your bookkeeping" sounds exciting and undermines the exact thing you hire an accountant for: the certainty that it is right. We do not solve that with a better promise but with a division of labour. The machine does the groundwork, a human signs off on whatever leaves the building.

That is why we call it bookkeeping without the bookkeeping, and not bookkeeping without the bookkeeper.

Who you get on the line

There is a name behind it.

The product team builds the automation, but the accounting review stays part of the service rather than something you buy on top. If something goes wrong, there is someone answerable for it. That is not a marketing line; it is the reason we do not run a ticketing system.
